On September 20, over 200 young people came together to clean up Buena Vista Beach in Cuyamel — one of the most polluted beaches in Honduras. 🇭🇳🌊
Organized by Cipotes, with support from the European Union, Operadora Portuaria de Cortés, Marine Studies Center, Waste Free Oceans, and The Ocean Clean Up, this cleanup was part of the global #EUBeachCleanUp campaign. 🌐💙
🧹 So far, Cipotes has led 6 cleanups across beaches in Puerto Cortés, Tela, and Omoa — collecting nearly 10 tons of waste including plastic, glass, and metal. Real action with real impact!
✨ This local movement is part of a global wave for World Cleanup Day for Beaches, Mangroves, and Rivers.
🌎 Throughout September, as part of #MutiraoCOP30, people around the world are joining efforts to clean up and raise awareness about the crisis of marine pollution. Because trash doesn’t just harm the oceans… it affects our health and fuels climate change. 😔
🛑 We can’t always choose what we buy, but we can demand sustainable materials and take action at local, national, and global levels.
🗣️ Your voice matters. Join #MutiraoCOP30 and tell the world why we must act NOW for our planet. 💬💚
📢 Every action counts. Every person matters.
Thank you to everyone making a difference! 🙌
